Crude oil types:

pressed crude edible oil: such as corn germ oil, soybean oil/rice bran oil/sunflower oil/cotton seed oil/canola seed oil.
Crude oil main components:
Mixed fatty acid triglycerides/ Phospholipids/ free fatty acids/pigments/peroxides/waxes and various mechanical impurities

About refining:
Degumming process:
The process of removing colloid impurities in oil is called degumming, the colloidal impurities in crude oil mostly is phospholipid, so deguming is often called the dephosphorization . Deacidification process:
It refers to the refining process that saturate the free fatty acids with alkali, then generate fatty acid salts (soap) and water, the soap adsorb a portion of impurity then settling out from the oil. this is the normally deacidification refining method.
Decolorization process:
Normally use the clay’s strong absoption ability to remove the pigment in the oil.
Filtration process:
Normally use the filter machine to filter the clay after the decolorization process.
Deodorization process:
This process is to remove the odor substances such as the odor in the leaching solvent process, soap odor in the alkali refining process and clay odor during the decolorization process. as well as remove part pigment residue.
Dewaxing section:
Oil dewaxing is taking the great different melting point between oil and wax, through crystallization by cooling, then make the oil and wax separated by filtration or centrifugal separation .
